Feeding the Hungry
“Changing people life start by changing your life.”
Every week for the past 7 years, Orthodox Churches community gather together and provide a dinner meal to around 125 people in need in the wonderful San Diego community.
The meal consists of main course usually spaghetti with meat, salad, fruit and a vegetable dish.
During that we do a bible study and answer the questions for San Diegan's.
We do special meals on feasts and American holidays such as Christmas, Pascha and Thanksgiving
We listed below the tasks and times we start the services, please join us:
Time & Tasks:
- Shift 1: (3:00 -5:30 pm) Food Prep/Cooking : four or more volunteers needed to prepare and cook main course, salad, side dish and desert.
- Shift 2: (5:20 - 7:00 pm) two men needed as Doormen to make sure that our guest are in line during the entrance and the exist of the shelter.
- Shift 3: (5:30 - 7:00 pm) serving & clean, we need at least eight volunteers to serve the food then clean the food trays, tables and floor.
- Bible Reading, Teaching, Prayers: 5:40-6:00 pm
